Swiss Graphic Design

For this new brief, I wanted to find examples of work that I admired but were also relevant to my more focussed design direction. From the outset, I have admired illustrative work but I have always felt like I belong too Typography and layout, just because I am critical of my illustration skills.

At present I have a thing for Swiss graphic design, which has stemmed from the typography module where I was research typographic design and the Swiss design movement was a time for type and layout to shine. Simple geometric shapes were also seen but the rules and regulations instilled but the Swiss were tight, similar to the Bauhaus design era.

Josef-Muller Brockman became one of my favourite designers pretty quickly, and some of work he created was timeless. Even now I wonder how he did it with the technology they had. Here are some of his pieces.
