I always look on the behance network for inspiration after I get a brief, and I decided to search for some CV examples. A lot of them were quite plain and predictable but then others (especially this one) pushed the boundaries on what should be included in a CV and what form it should take.
This first example is the cv of Alessandro Grandinetti, an Italian freelance graphic designer. This is basic but could a good design direction for someone of a smaller budget like me. I would enhance this by using either a foil blocking on the title or screen print with a metallic ink on a quality black stock to show my understanding of print in a subtle way.
The next example, and my favourite, was designed by Sean Ball of Loftis & Ball, an American design agency. This was produced while he was a student, and I find this very inspiring. You get an instant feel of what his work is all about and proves his attention to detail and overall quality as a designer. This really made me rethink about he I could put a CV together. The cost would be quite high but if these were sent out to agencies you particularly wanted to impress, I think the reaction to this could only be good.
What is a CV?
